Erin Hunter chat #4 - January 2008

Exciting news, everyone! Vicky Holmes, Cherith Baldry, and Kate Cary will be joining us for another Erin Hunter chat on January 19, 2008! For those who don't know, Vicky Holmes is the editor of the wonderful Warriors series, and Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry write the books under the pseudonym Erin Hunter. We planned the chat for several weeks after the release of Dark River and Warrior's Refuge so that we can talk about those if everyone wants to.

To attend the chat, you must be a premium member (if you can post here, then you can attend the chat). Membership is only $5 for a full year. To become a premium member, you must first register and log in, and then go to:

The chat will be held on Saturday night, January 19, at midnight London time.

I wasn't going to post the times because I didn't want to accidentally give anyone the wrong time, but there's a lot of confusion about the times. So here are the correct times:

Eastern: 7pm
Central: 6pm
Mountain: 5pm
Pacific: 4pm

I don't think that there will be any daylight savings time problems this time, because we're off of daylight savings time right now, but I'm not responsible if you live in a state that is out of sync with the rest of the time zone for some weird reason. If you have any questions about the time where you live, you can use the time zone calculator:

Choose "Use The Following Date/Time".
For date choose January 19 2008. For time enter 11:59 pm. (Technically I think midnight is the next day, so it'll just be easier to figure out if you put 11:59pm).
Under "From Time Zone" choose "Europe/London".
Under "To Time Zone" scroll down to either "Canada/xxx" or "US/xxx" and choose either your time zone or your state. Note that there are a couple of states, like Arizona and Michigan, that have their own entry. That's because they have unique time zone issues. If you live in one of those states, be sure to choose your state from the list. If your state isn't in the list, just choose your time zone.
Click "Convert Time Now"

My guess is that it's just north of the Clans' new camp. If you look at the scene where some cats go searching for Crowfeather and Leafpool after they left, you'll find that it seems as if it's entering the type of land SkyClan occupies--both that and the fact that there is a part where Brambleclaw looks at everything, including the sky (it even says "... and the sky.") Yeah, that's what I think ^^

Did you (meaning Erin Hunter) base Onestar off of Tony Blair in anyway? Because Onestar had problems with feeling too familiar with Firestar (like Bush), another Clan's leader, and WindClan didn't really appreciate that, and there was another cat whom everyone thought was going to be leader, and was fairly widely surpported - Mudclaw (Gordon Brown) - and it turned out that Onewhisker was leader instead...
