I wrote poems all the time and people always say they are great and beautiful...
Someone asked me to write a happy poem....all my poems are VERY DARK and Murdery and silenced....
Why is this? I'm a generally either very happy girl or depressed (not usualy)
I get my insperations from the sky and trees and everyday life and....
Do my poems come from the back of my thoughts? Help me!
Update:
These are so examples:
The Gate-
Dead flowers flow down a river,
ripples of tears flow from her face...
Loss of strength;dismay.
tells a story of a past.
Icy waters end where her heart stopd.
A flow of guilt washed her face clean...
A challenge, a past well to known of pain.
Her last sight of darkness, her last sight of light.
Cold Lie-
Cold breezes blow in the night,
undecided lies kill the blood in sections of her mind.
Her last movement is frozen, her eyes close forever as the darkness takes her to a prison where she is kept forever.
Guilt shocks the one who caused the death and she can never live free again.
Well, maybe writing dark poems is what you do best. That doesn't mean you're depressed if you write that kind of poetry. It just means that maybe when you feel strongly about something and write a poem about it, it seems dark to people... I don't know, lol...

It's probably b/c you're happy most of the time, this is another side of you. *Shrugs* I think it's fun to write about dramatic and dark things lol.
I'm too happy, lol! And I wrote a fan-fic about a kit murdering his mother, and it was just very dark. And someone said I had a extremely dark mind and they hated it. Actually I was basing it off an African Soldier Children story. So it was based off a true story, and I'm not dark, I just like writing about dark things.
I'll post them up tomorrow.
I am the same. I write sad poems and find it harder to write happy ones. That doesnt mean I'm depressed.

I KNOW i am depressed....i'm not constantly depressed though, just some times and don't know why.
Everyone gets depressed sometimes. But you don't have to be depressed to write dark things. Good poets know how to tap into the depths of emotion as well as the heights. I think your poems are beautiful.

Thank-you, they are not depressing until you get them and the imagry of them, well of what I try to get across. I can't write a poem if i'm not on a swing in the park. I swing then stop and write and start again.
I do that too. I'm not depressed, but I always write poems about death and sorrow and stuff
