Rise of Scourage *Spoilers*
When I got the Author Tracker email thing, I read about how there was a major secret in the Rise of Scourage. I gathered up my money and bought it.
I thought it was very good- I liked how the images were different from Graystripe's Journey, it made it feel more... uh... roguey-ish.
I didn't like Tigerstar's picture though... he seemed waaaayyy to big and bulky. More like a dog.
Anyway... I was thinking about what the secret could be... when I noticed it was slightly suspicious how Quince was talking to that picture-
"You would have been proud of your kits, my love.
Strange that none of them have your GINGER fur."
-Page 13, Rise of Scourage
I don't think that they put that in their for no reason. I was at first thinking the Firestar might be his brother or something, and Quince had a litter after Scourage's... but then, that didn't add up, because he was probably dead, being up on the wall and all. So I have come up with the conclusion that he is related to someone in the forest. Quince said that he knew alot about the forest, right? So what if he had another mate thier?
What do you think?

That's interesting, but I don't think it will play a big role in anything. Since Scourge is already dead, I doubt he will be talked about much at the Lake. I also don't think Quince was from the forest, possibly her mate, but not her. Only because if she or her mate were from the forest she would have called herself or her mate by a Warrior name. Though we didn't learn her mates name. I don't know, but I don't think Scourge is related to anyone important. Maybe though. Now if Scourges mother was Sasha, that would be a whole new story. But it's not, so yeah.

Okay, well who's all Ginger??? It has to be someone who lives by Firestar's old place.
Wait, what if it's Firestar's father?!?! lol!!
It may play a big role if like they find out maybe it's Firestar's brother, and what do you think the Clan cats would think? He's already a kittypet, and he brings in too many kittypets.
That's just an idea. But what if Scourge has brothers and sisters just as bad as him, and they want revenge for their brother's death... They have wolves why not a reincarnated Scourge?

I have a different theory. It has something to do with your theory Waterstripe. Maybe Quince's mate is Firestar's brother connecting Firestar to Scourge. I think it makes sense. But there are plenty of ginger cats out there. Sorry Heartwing I just read the posts after I typed this and you have the same theory as me. LOL!!! Akiak, if you read the pages online Scourge's brothers and sisters hate him. I think he probably killed them because they hated him and were mean to him as a kit. How should I know? I haven't bought the book yet. :D
