Account sharing prohibited

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry to have to be the big mean admin again, but I've noticed some people recently sharing their accounts with friends, family, or former Wands and Worlds members. I wanted to point out that in the terms of service that you all agreed to, it says:

Account sharing is prohibited. Each user account must be used by only one person.

(Number 16)

This may sound unfair, but running this site costs me money, and the membership fee goes to help pay the expenses. If two people are using an account, you're basically getting two for the price of one. If enough people do it, I won't be able to afford to keep this site up.

I'm not going to issue warnings this time, because I'm going to assume that you guys didn't realize or forgot that it was in the terms. But anyone who is account sharing from now on will receive a warning, suspension, or expulsion according to the rules set out in the terms.

I really hate to do this; I especially hate to do it to former members who are expired and can't renew for whatever reason. Y'all are like family, and I wish that I could let you all join for free. But I can't, and frankly it isn't fair to the members who paid, either, for someone to basically get free access by sharing an account.

It's perfectly fine for a member to "pass on" a message from a former member. But you should not allow someone else to log onto your account and use it, former member or not.

1. If someone is physically sitting in the room with you, it's ok to let them type something as long as you log in and don't give them your password. However, it's your responsibility to make sure that they understand the terms of service, and if they type something that violates the terms, then you will be warned and/or banned as if it was you typing it.

2. Giving your password to someone else to allow them to log in as you is strictly against the rules, however.

3. We will allow your parents, and parents only, to log in to your account. This does NOT include siblings (but they can sit with you - see rule #1 above). If something happens to you, I would hope that your parents would log in and let us know. Or they could just send an email to my email address in the left sidebar, and I'll let the community know.

I've never done that, and I never intend to either, I have my account the way I want and I don't really want people messing around with it.

Sorry Sheila, but some of my brothers know my password. I didn't tell them what it was, but since I have every single one of my passwords the same thing it wasn't that hard to guess.
