Anyway. I voted Brackenfur, but I think other possibilities might be Graystripe, Stormfur if he stayed with ThunderClan... and possibly a female deputy, as well (Squirrelflight's too rash, Brightheart seems sort of shy, Hollypaw would be too inexperienced, Whitewing's also too inexperienced... Sorreltail /might/ make a good deputy, though. Hazeltail's too eager and Honeypaw's too young, as is Poppypaw.

Squirrelflight - This makes sense. not only is she Brambleclaw's mate, she is a loyal and respected warrior of ThunderClan, and Firestar's daughter, ready to take his place in ThunderClan's leadership. Her and Brambleclaw traveled to the sun-drown place together, so he would want Squirrelflight by his side as his deputy. He's blind to her evil.

Lionpaw - Yes, and Firestar has a crush on Mothwing. Hey, you never know...

Ashfur - There is always the possibility that Brambleclaw is secretly gay and in love with Ashfur. If not, I don't think this would happen for some mysterious reason.

Squirrelflight is, sadly, the way to go.

Squirrelflight's too rash, too quick to argue, too impulsive to make a good deputy, if you ask me. I mean, sure, for Brambleclaw's sake she would be, but remember how Firestar didn't choose Sandstorm for deputy despite the fact that she hadn't had an apprentice, because she didn't really have the quailty to make her a good deputy? *shrug*
Even if she did lead them through the Great Journey, that's not necessarily saying she's good at it.

I think Firestar will die in the 5th book, and by that time Hollypaw will be a warrior, so I think she'll become deputy just because of her ambition and like warrior code knowledge blah blah blah

DEFINITELY not Squirrelflight, that would be the worst decision... I mean, leader + mate as deputy? She can't have kits, first of all, and second of all she would be put into a dangerous position. She would be safer to simply stay a warrior.

Though Wolf does have a good point. If I hadn't already voted Brackenfur, I think Cinderpaw would be a good choice. Why did she come back a second time? Being deputy/leader seems like it would be reason enough--since she wasn't supposed to become medicine cat in her first life.

I do think Lionpaw would b a good choice because he has a connection with not only star clan but a tribe from the past. Not only could this help him in fighting in battles but also by giving him knowledge that no other clan leader would have.
