Percy Jackson And The Olympians
Donations continue to come in for the Brightspirit auction, and we have many exciting and unique items. This week, BookPeople donated a ticket to attend Camp Half-Blood 2009, based on the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, in Austin Texas next summer! And Rick Riordan announced the auction on his blog last week!
The Brightspirit Relief Fund Auction site is now live! For those who don't know, I've been setting up the auction site for a charitable auction to be held online in memory of Emmy Grace Cherry, a 10-year-old Warriors fan who lost her life in a tornado in Arkansas in February. The auction will raise money for literacy, storm relief, and animal awareness.
I just found out that Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, is contributing some autographed items to the Brightspirit Relief Fund charity auction!
Has anyone read the Percy Jackson series, The Lightning Thief and Sea of Monsters? If you haven't read them, I highly recommend them. They're really funny and exciting books about the Greek gods living in the modern world, and a boy named Percy Jackson who finds out he is a demigod (half human, half god).
If you have read them, you might like to know that Rick Riordan revealed the title of book 3, The Titan's Curse, and also gives some hints about what will happen in book 3! You can read more about The Titan's Curse here:
